MEFITIS whose cult spread in Lucania by the Samnite populations, symbolizes the strength of water, which flows from the earth, giving it vitality and fertility and then passes into the air. It is an extra virgin of absolute excellence, every year a very limited calibration is produced, this type of oil is obtained following the ancient method of surfacing, which consists in hand-collecting a very small percentage of oil (about 4%) that forms spontaneously on the olive paste, presenting itself full-bodied but in perfect harmony between aroma and taste. Color: crystalline green Smell: medium-high fruity Taste: initial perception of spicy with a light final note. This product, after harvesting by surfacing, is lightly filtered in cotton cloth and then bottled, leaving its characteristics intact.
